Cash Flow
I designed and built a complete cash-flow app for a client, from the database to the dashboard.

01Problem
The client tracked services, employees, payments and expenses separately. There was no single view of income and profit.
02Constraints
- One developer and a small budget, so the stack had to be simple to run and maintain.
- The client needed to filter results by day, week, year or a custom date range.
03What I did
- I built the API in Go with Gin and GORM, on top of SQLite.
- The app registers services and their costs, employees and their payments, service payments and other expenses.
- I built a React dashboard with income, profit and services ranked by income, filterable by any date range.
04Trade-offs
SQLite instead of a database server. One file to back up and nothing to administer, which fits a single business.
A single Go binary for the backend keeps deployment simple for the client.
05Result
TODO: describe the result. What the client can do now that they could not before.
